Denim is a staple to any wardrobe, and mine is no exception. Although, I've never actually owned a denim dress. I always assumed they wouldn't look good on me until I bought this one on a whim at my work sample sale. When I got home to try it on, I was so shocked by how well it fit. I realised that a denim dress pretty much has everything I look for in a piece: structured, timeless and can be dressed up or down. 

I wore the dress when I went to see my best friends for dinner last week (we hadn't all been together since new years so it was pretty much the highlight of my month, my friends are the best). You know the friendship is real when you can jump back into it like no time has passed after months of time apart. We say we've prepared ourselves for any long-distance relationships we'll ever have because we all live so far away from each other. Now ain't that the turth. At least I know they're all out there changing the world and living their best lives ;)
